These sandals were developed and tested over four years. Particularly in the summer months and in the mild West Coast climate, for patients who find wearing foot orthoses in closed shoes "too warm". When patients do not wear their shoes, they do not wear their foot orthoses. That means there is no control of their feet. The solution: The Excellerator - custom made orthotic sandals.

The Excellerator custom made orthotic sandals are so comfortable and presentable that they can be worn not only in the home but for casual outdoor wear. The Excellerator complements their orthotic therapy.

The process of fabricating the quality Excellerator custom made orthotic sandals starts with casts of the patient's feet in the conventional neutral subtalor joint position. Custom made foot orthoses are fabricated from these casts of the feet. The orthotic shells are incorporated onto foot beds and one of two sandal styles – two buckles or three buckles. The straps and foot beds are fabricated of all natural fine quality leather.

Just as in traditional custom made orthotics, one can select any of the common additions, modifications or accommodations to further enhance the therapeutic efficacy of The Excellerator custom made orthotic sandals.

Excellerator two buckles (straps) are located on the top and are brown in colour.

Excellerator three buckles (straps) are similar in style as the two buckles (straps) with an additional strap that goes around the heel. These are available in black and burgundy.
